As the school year comes closer to an end and with college decisions around the corner, many seniors are finding ways to afford college. The easiest way to afford college is to apply for scholarships. Finding and filling applications can take large amounts of time and can be stressful. However, there are many websites that make filling out scholarships easier.

Bold.org:

This website has many scholarships and you can filter your search by deadlines, applications with no essay, highest amount awarded, etc. When you make an account, you will fill out different questions, like where you applied to college and what you want to major in. Your profile is taken into consideration when your applications are being reviewed, so take the time to create a detailed profile. There is also a way to earn points, through surveys and subscriptions, that allow you to apply to certain scholarships, and the more points you have, the higher your chances of winning a scholarship are.

scholarship.com:

On this website, you fill out information about yourself, like your grade level and age, and it takes this information and finds scholarships on different websites that you qualify for. This website is beneficial because you don’t have to create multiple profiles on different scholarship websites, as everything is on one website since it searches other scholarship websites to find matches.

scholarshippoints.com

If you don’t mind taking surveys, this website is the perfect place to enter scholarships. In order to apply for scholarships on this website, you fill out surveys to earn points and then use those points as a sort of raffle ticket. You are able to use your points to put yourself in a drawing for different scholarships, so if you put five points towards a scholarship, that would be five chances towards that scholarship.

Along with scholarship websites, make sure you check for local scholarships, not just national scholarships, and scholarships from the specific schools you applied to. This will give you a higher chance of winning as there are fewer people who apply. Just search “Local scholarships for…” and put in your city or state, or look on the college website where you applied. There are many different ways to apply and win scholarships, and taking the time to fill out scholarships will benefit you greatly.
