Just one week before graduation, senior festivities begin to ramp up. One of the highlights of this week was the senior parade.

Seniors got to ride around on the back and top of their vehicles around town so everyone could celebrate how much they’ve meant to us.

The parade started at Borgia High School and continued down High Street to Main Street, then went on up Jefferson Street. The cars then made a right onto Eighth Street and eventually up Sunnyside Street and reached the final destination here at the high school.

Here, seniors were able to wave to crowds of people that included their families, friends and others who just wanted to come out and show their support.

Some seniors were able to decorate their cars with Blue Jay pride, some even displaying their seniors posters while they rode with their families and friends.

While the parade is not as near the level of importance as graduation is to these seniors, it remains a tradition, after it was canceled last year due to the pandemic. But this year’s was a success, with great turnout and support the tradition will look to continue in the years to come.

The parade was just one of many senior events that happened in the week that will ultimately be capped by graduation, but it is still a very important and laid back way to celebrate the class of 2021.
