Maybe Someday Book Review

Maybe Someday. Maybe someday.

Maybe Someday is a book written by Colleen Hoover. This book is a romance novel about two music lovers who crave to be together when their lives won’t allow it. This book is written from two different perspectives. One from the main character Ridge, and another from the second main character Sydney. When Sydney finds herself betrayed by the ones she loves most she has nowhere to go. That is when Ridge lends an innocent helping hand to help Sydney out. However, this kind gesture leads to a mess of confusion and emotions.

This book will show you what it is like to be in all different positions within the situation. It will cause you to feel sympathy for each character and their story. While you want to hate one person for their actions, you can’t help but understand where they’re coming from. Now only is love a problem; there is so much more to each character than the author first leads on. As the novel develops you learn more about each person and the reasons behind their actions.

Hoover has a way with her words where she toys with your emotions and gets you to feel exactly what she wants you to. This puts you on a roller coaster of emotions as you feel every betrayal and heartbreak these characters feel. You truly don’t have control over your emotions during your time involved with this book. Just when you think you can’t take enough heartbreak, the ending falls into place just as it should. It gives you the satisfaction you deserve after the whirlwind of emotions you just experienced.

After this book ends, it is not the end of the story. There is a sequel to this book called “Maybe Not”. This book continues the story but from the main character’s roommate’s point of view. It follows the course of his relationship instead. After “Maybe Not” is “Maybe Now”. This book continues the story of Sydney and Ridge to give the raiders more of the love story they crave. This series is one that will keep you on your toes and your heart on the verge of breaking. I would recommend this book to anyone that is a sucker for romance novels like myself. It will rip your heart out and put it back together again.
