On Monday, May 16th, and Tuesday, May 17th the Boys Golf State Championship is taking place. Two of Washington High School’s players will be attending to take on state themselves.

The top five varsity players played in Farmington for districts. All players tried their hardest to fight for a spot for state this year. The players had to stay in the right mindset, but also enjoy their time playing a sport they love.

The Washington golf team was able to secure two players for the state championship. Sophomore Alex Fregalette, who finished with eighty-two and got fourth overall, and junior Haiden Bean, who finished with ninety and was T17. These boys will be taking on the Meadow Lake Acres Golf Course in Bloomfield, MO.

Since these players made it to the state tournament, the Washington High School students stood outside and cheered on the players, wishing them good luck at state. All faculty and students wanted to express their excitement for the players, so the state walk was just the opportunity to do so. Both players were able to experience the love and support of all which was much appreciated.

All of Washington High School are wishing good luck to our players and hope they have the best time!
