Pow! Bang! BZZZ!

Marvel Comics has caught my eye with their TV series “Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” brought to life for three seasons now by show creators Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon and Joss.
S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. I have avidly watched all 66 episodes of “Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” since 2013. It’s not your average crime or action show, as Marvel goes so far as to add extraterrestrial powers and secret organizations to the mix.
The series also intertwines with the Marvel Avengers movies. Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Fury, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the films and also makes special appearances on the show.
Clark Gregg plays the main character Phil Coulson, (spoiler alert) who was killed by Loki in “The Avengers” movie. The whole premise for this TV series is that S.H.I.E.L.D. brought Coulson back to life.
Coulson struggles to reveal why he was brought back from the dead, as he can’t remember anything but fake memories of Tahiti. Coulson sees the beautiful beach and palm trees and states, “Honestly, Tahiti is too good to be true.”
While Coulson tries to figure out his life, the team of agents fights against humans with foreign powers. One of the agents may even have something hidden in her DNA, but I won’t spoil anything.
I have to say that this last season has absolutely blown my mind. The plot is unpredictable and relationships are betrayed. Another shocker is that half of the humans on Earth might be InHumans (people that are actually half-alien and have powers). The Agents have to deal with the outbreaks of new InHumans and prevent Hydra (the villains) from taking over the world.
For space geeks, this season also includes humans traveling back and forth to an unknown planet. I found that the episodes in space were intriguing and provoked excitement about the unknown. Currently, I am awaiting the season return on March 8 at 8 p.m. on ABC to see what happens to the Agents after they have returned from space. I expect nothing less than an action packed fist-fight to start off the new episodes.
I believe this show is something to marvel at.
