Ariana Grande, KC make weekend trip worth it
For the first time, the SDOW had a full week spring break. This time was allotted for students to have a break from school and have some time off to enjoy the beginning of spring weather. For me, it did just that.
On March 18, 2017, with car loaded with bags, our playlist set and a full tank of gas, my sister, my friend and I took off for a weekend trip to go to the Dangerous Woman Tour at the Sprint Center in the heart of Kansas City, Mo.
The four hour drive made me more and more excited for seven o’clock that night. Personally, I forgot how much I loved traveling to a new city. Once we arrived, we spent an hour getting ready to dance the night away with Ariana Grande. Because we had plenty of time before the concert started, we spent the afternoon walking around the city, eating outstanding pizza at the Pizza Bar and watching March Madness.
At this point, if I wasn’t already enjoying my spring break, I was about to enjoy it even more. Ariana Grande failed to disappoint. From the opening act of Little Mix, an all girl band with cool hair, high boots and popular cover songs, to the dance party all night, her light show, money confetti and backdrops, the whole stadium was dancing and singing along all night. I may have not known every single song, but Ariana made every fan feel like that was okay.
This trip was the highlight of my spring break, and I’m glad it was spent on such a fun night, even if it was the first day of spring break.
