Finding things to do in quarantine can be a challenge. Besides getting up to go to work or do online classes, it can be a challenge to find enough motivation to get out of bed in the morning, but finding something to look forward to can help increase your motivation and help start your day.

Bake Something

There are plenty of easy recipes to be found around the house or on the internet, and you can easily find recipes that use ingredients you have around the house and that take up time from your day. Baking is an easy way to stay productive during quarantine, and after you’re done, you’ll have something homemade and fresh out of the oven to eat.

Read a book

Now more than ever is a great time to pick up an old book series and start rereading. You can find eBooks or books you haven’t read around the house and spend a couple hours reading each day. This is a great way to spend the day and be able to reread a favorite book or series.

FaceTime Someone

Just because you can’t see any of your friends in person doesn’t mean you have to lose touch with them. FaceTiming is a great way to stay in contact with friends and family during quarantine.

Start a New Show

If you have Netflix or some other streaming service, now would be the time to dive into a new show or re-watch one of your favorites. There are lots of shows that you can find that have multiple seasons and would be good for watching in quarantine over long periods of time. There are also many different movies you can watch, too.

Learn Something New

If you have an old guitar or paints sitting around, try getting them out and learning how to do it! There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to play instruments and other how to’s. Take this time and try to learn a new skill or find a new hobby.

Teach Your Pet a Trick

You’re not the only one who can learn something new while stuck at home. If you have a pet, try teaching them a new trick or command. There’s many videos and articles for tips on how to teach your pet a new trick on the internet.
