The Importance of Moving Forward
As we begin each year, so many people have New Year’s resolutions. A habit they want to shake, a new hobby they want to take up, the list goes on and on. But for this year, the only thing I am focusing on is moving forward. I usually am the kind of person who is stuck. Whether it’s the constant worry in my head, or not knowing how to improve my life, I feel stuck. But this year I am trying to change that.
Unfortunately, I often see the glass half empty. It’s something I struggle with, but I am excited to put it behind me and move forward this year. Focusing on the positive can completely change your life. Sometimes I question situations I’m in and think, “why is this happening to me.” But you have to flip that mindset. Tell yourself that it’s happening for a reason and making you stronger. Think about the future and how much better of a person that situation can make you.
Moving forward is more than just trying to have a good day or deciding to work on yourself. It takes a conscious effort to change the way your mind works, and not dwell on the past. You have to surround yourself with people who help you see the good in all things. Having a good support system and people who genuinely make you happy will definitely help you to put your best foot forward and improve your life.
Overall, looking ahead to the future in a positive way is something we all should strive to do in 2022. Not only will it better your mental health, but also just the way you view life and what it could be. Wishing you all the best and positivity in this new year, Blue Jays!
