Bubbl’r’s are a new energy drink that has become very popular over the last couple years. However, not everyone is so keen on the fizzy drink.

I think Bubbl’r’s are definitely a great drink. One reason that they are so good is the caffeine. It gives you a good pick-me-up, but it doesn’t have as much caffeine as a Bang, Rockstar, Redbull, etc. Most Bubbl’r’s contain 69 mg of caffeine, whereas Bangs have 300 mg of caffeine. This is a plus because it gives you caffeine, but not so much that it becomes really unhealthy for you. 

One thing that scared me when first trying Bubbl’r was the fact that it’s sparkling water, because I’ve had other sparkling waters and didn’t like them. However, I don’t think that Bubbl’r’s have the funny sparkling water taste that many dislike. The Bubbl’r flavor is very prevalent, unlike many other sparkling drinks where the flavor is faint. 

Bubbl’rs’ have many drink flavors, and many people have a preferred one. I think that it’s great that Bubblr’s has so many different flavors because some people don’t like certain flavors, but end up loving others. Having many flavors also helps to not get burnt out on drinking Bubbl’r, because you can switch up the flavors that you drink every time. 

I think that the size of Bubbl’r is perfect size. There’s enough drink for you to be satisfied with, but not so much that you feel bad after drinking it all. I also think the shape of the can is unique and the slim shape helps it fit into any cup holder. 

Overall, I think that Bubbl’r is a great, delicious drink because it has a good amount of caffeine, many flavors to choose from and a perfect size.

Con Bubbl’r (Connor)

Recently, Washington High School started stocking a caffeinated drink called Bubbl’r. The drink has taken the hold of students schoolwide. The drink comes in a variety of flavors, the most popular being Twisted Elix’r, Triple Berry Breez’r, and others. The drink, of course, is not loved by all, including myself. 

Bubbl’rs are flavorless scams of a drink, marketing themselves as a healthy alternative to their predecessor, Mountain Dew Kickstarts. The kickstarts were delicious, filled to the brim with flavor, just enough caffeine and had the beloved Mountain Dew flavor all students know and love. 

The flavoring of the Bubbl’r is bitter and some of the flavors taste reminiscent of hand sanitizer. It may be similar to cilantro, where it tastes delicious to some, but like cleaning products to others. Personally, I do not believe that the drink deserves the time that it would take to find out. Whether genetic mutation or not, Bubbl’r is not worth the hype.

Not only do Bubbl’rs taste terrible, but there also isn’t enough in the 12 oz can to satisfy someone. Bubbl’rs are an alternative to soda in many cases, which normally come in 20 oz bottles. 20 oz is a perfect size, as it doesn’t leave the consumer wanting more soda, but it also isn’t too much to drink in one sitting. Since the vending machines raised the price from $1.25 to $1.50, the 12 oz can also is not worth the price.

With all of these factors, I cannot bring myself to enjoy Bubbl’r. While there are some flavors I enjoy, the price and can size turn me away. Overall, Bubbl’r just isn’t worth it for me; However, the drink is incredibly popular and there is nothing wrong with liking it. A drink so popular deserves respect, and though I don’t like it, I respect anything that can get that popular.
