Pumpkin Carving- A major staple for Halloween is pumpkins and more importantly, pumpkins with scary faces carved into them. To start off your pumpkin carving date, you and your special someone can go to Pin Oak Farms in New Haven, Mo. to pick out your ideal pumpkin. While you are picking pumpkins, you also have the option to see animals at the petting zoo or find your way through the five-acre corn maze. Once you have enjoyed all the fun activities at the pumpkin patch, it is now time to head back home and carve your pumpkins. As you carve the scary faces, you can also listen to songs on Spotify’s Halloween playlist and bust out some funky moves!

Picnic in the Park- Put on your comfiest hoodie and grab a blanket because it’s time for a picnic in the park. Though the weather is a little bit chilly, a picnic in the park is a great way to spend time with your loved one. Before heading to Lions Lake for your picnic, you will have to make some Halloween-inspired treats, which you can easily find how to do just by looking through Pinterest. After you have made your fun snacks, grab a loaf of bread and head to the park. You and your significant other can start off the date by walking hand in hand around the lake and feeding all the geese with the bread you brought along. You will then need to grab your blanket and find a flat area to lay it down—the stage at Lions Lake is going to be the best option. As you and your special someone devour your Pinterest-inspired treats, you will also have a beautiful view of the sunset if you choose to go later in the day.

Movie Night- As most people know, the fall season, specifically around the time of Halloween, has a very popular nickname: “spooky szn.” The best way to embrace the spooky season is to curl up under some blankets and watch all the classic Halloween movies. It is up to you as to where you watch the movies but make sure you have plenty of popcorn and plenty of super-soft blankets. From “Goosebumps” to movies as scary as “The Conjuring,” your options for what to watch are endless.
