Time for WHS to unwind

Kostas Kakadiaris, Reporter

As the school year arrives at its inevitable end, we wave an overjoyed farewell to all the departing seniors and look forward to a summer filled to the brim with leisure. For student and staff alike, take pride in your accomplishments and the obstacles you have overcome this year, for now is the time to forget all stress and anxiety that may have plagued you over the school year. The time has finally come to have some fun in the sun.
The importance of fun can’t be stressed enough when it comes to a society that tends to overwork itself. From taking a trip to the local pool to driving through the town listening to tunes with your pals, there are a profuse number of possible ways one can spend their summer. Enjoy summer, whether it is enjoying time alone, whether it is relaxing in the cool, bug-free indoors or whether it is earning some cash to secure all the fast food you plan to eat. All that I implore is that you enjoy your high school summers.
Enjoying summer is something that sometimes isn’t always appreciated until we lose it, so take heed youngsters and enjoy the golden times while they still last. Even when facing the promise of sleeping in everyday, I recommend not forgetting about the side of you that craves some form of productivity. While doing nothing is quite tempting, picking up a skill, book or more social connections never hurt anyone. Even the transition back to high school shifts to a more pleasurable experience due to it being much easier to remain active than start being active.
But, before we further mention the return to school, let’s focus on enjoying the here and now. To all personnel and students, whether graduating or not, at WHS revel in the delights of summer.
