Washington, Mo. is a small town that sits on the Missouri River, otherwise known as the jewel of Franklin County. You may be wondering, “Well if the town is so small, what is there to do?” There’s actually more hidden under the surface than you might think.

The town is missing things that its neighboring towns have, such as a bowling alley or a skating rink; however, the residents of Washington make the best of their time and schedule interesting events all year long. During the month of October there are haunted wagon tours that take you around downtown and tell you the spooky history of Washington. There is even a farmers market every Saturday where local vendors can sell their homemade and handmade goods.
