WHS staff decorates classrooms for the holidays
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially in a few classrooms here at WHS, thanks to staff that are making school feel a little more festive during this season.
“I just think it creates a warm atmosphere and the kids seem to like it,” English teacher Jocelyn Coates said. “I just think we need to be able to enjoy the season.”
Some staff members hang lights or stockings, others decorate Christmas trees and bookshelves, but they all do it for one common purpose: to increase morale during the last few weeks before break.
“I think the decorations just add festive flare to the library and make it a pleasant place to be,” librarian Ann Loesing said. “We spend more time at school than we do at home, so we gotta make it fun. You guys work so hard and you’re studying for finals, so it makes it a little more fun.”
