High School in a Nutshell
I’d be lying if I said I was completely ready to leave. Don’t get me wrong, oftentimes the days seemed never ending but in reality it feels like just yesterday I was a scared freshman not knowing which doors to walk in through. The four simple words, “It goes by fast,” hold great truth and trying to make the most of them through things you enjoy is just as important as maintaining the academic side.
As it comes to an end, I’m beyond grateful for all the things I did for myself and memories I made with others. I’m thankful for the opportunities that allowed me to explore our school and town, learning more about the history of my roots before I potentially leave. I want to thank all of my past teachers, current teachers, other staff and outside sources that have been here with me through it all. All these people and experiences have prepared me greatly for what’s next to come, whatever that may be. While I’ve only lived a short 18 years of life, and I hope for many more to come, these past four years will forever hold a special place in my heart.
If I were to give advice to incoming freshmen I would say get involved, go to events, play that sport, take that class even if your friend isn’t, utilize your surroundings, make new friends and do all you can do to make the most out of these years, as they are supposed to be the best years of our lives.
