We’ve all heard of the new Smart Mouth Pizza at Washington High School that has replaced Domino’s pizza. Smart Mouth Pizza is a pizza that is specifically designed to only be served in schools. Their goal is to raise money to donate 20 million meals in the next 10 years. They want to help feed as many kids as possible. As good as Smart Mouth Pizza’s goal is to help raise money, I don’t think It’s a good idea for the pizza to be fed to kids everyday at WHS. 

Although the idea of Smart Mouth Pizza is to feed as many kids as possible, I think they are promoting unhealthy eating among the students. There have been healthier meals for kids like whole grain products and minimizing serving sizes of certain foods have been implemented in the past years. Since these changes in the past have been made to help students to eat better it doesn’t make sense to suddenly heavily promote this new pizza and to serve it everyday. When we had Domino’s Pizza that was only served on Mondays it gave students the chance to enjoy pizza but not overly eat it. 

When we had Domino’s Pizza that was served on Mondays we got to enjoy the food while supporting our local Dominos in the process. 

I’ve tried the new Smart Mouth Pizza and wasn’t satisfied. I think the pizza was tasteless and greasy. I didn’t enjoy the new Smart Mouth Pizza as much as I did Domino’s. 

Some people have differing opinions and think the Smart Mouth is a good pizza.

“I don’t hate it but I normally pick whatever else there is,” said an anonymous sophomore. 

While some people think the pizza is good and others may disagree about having the New Smart Mouth Pizza it seems like the new pizza is here to stay.
