The Main Street Creamery is located at 110 W. Main Street in Washington. They offer a variety of ice cream options including the Smores milkshake. The shop opened on March 11.

I’m a sucker for ice cream and was beyond excited to hear a new ice cream shop was opening. Following the trend of over the top milkshakes, the Main Street Creamery exceeded my expectations. All of the milkshakes have a delicious treat on top, which could be a slice of apple pie, a toasted marshmallow, cotton candy or many other treats.

Despite their milkshakes being works of art and completely Instagram worthy, it doesn’t stop there. One of the unique aspects of the creamery is that you can take home the mason jar it comes in. However, if you enjoy Main Street as much as I do, you might end up with an excessive amount of mason jars. The shop isn’t just limited to milkshakes, though, as they also have regular ice cream that comes in a cone or a bowl, ice cream doughnut sandwiches, edible cookie dough, smoothies and custard.

While business has been booming for the shop, it also means that there is typically a wait time and a long line before you can get your hands on your decadent treat. In the first week of business there was often an hour long wait time. However, the ice cream is well worth the wait. Another downside of the shop is that while their milkshakes are delicious and artistic, they are also very messy. If messy milkshakes and sticky hands aren’t your thing, I would stick to some of the creamery’s other options.

Despite some sticky fingers and long lines, the creamery is a great addition to Washington, and I’m excited to see what other milkshake creations are in store for us.
